Isle of Skye - Portree
Portree is the largest town on Skye in the Inner Hebrides of
Scotland. It is the location for the only secondary school on the
Island, Portree High school. Public transport services are limited
Portree has a harbour, fringed by cliffs, with a pier designed by
Thomas Telford. Attractions in the town include the Àros centre
which celebrate the island's Gaelic heritage. The town also serves
as a centre for tourists exploring the island.
The Royal Hotel is the site of MacNab's Inn, the last meeting place
of Flora MacDonald and Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746.

acre of gardens and provide a quiet and private setting with ample
parking; just a ten minute walk from Portree.
Garden Cottage is a bungalow set alongside the main house. It
sleeps up to four in one double and one twin bedded room.
Holly View Annexe sleeps two in the large double bedroom which
has an open plan dressing area and a free standing bath.
The Garden Wing is the most spacious of the accommodation and is
ideal for a couple who want a little more luxury and space to
Holly View Annexe, The Garden Wing and our Garden Cottage are all
well equipped. All enjoy full central heating, bedding, towels,
cleaning materials, TV, DVD, WiFi, iPod docking station and radio
included in the price. Laundry service wash costs £12 per machine
load (washed and dried within 12 hours). An iron and ironing board
are available on request.
