Bodmin is a
civil parish and major town in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It
is situated in the centre of the county southwest of Bodmin Moor.
The extent of the civil parish corresponds fairly closely to that of
the town so is mostly urban in character. It is bordered to the east
by Cardinham parish, to the southeast by Lanhydrock parish, to the
southwest and west by Lanivet parish, and to the north by Helland
Bodmin has a population of 12,778 (2001 census). It was formerly the
county town of Cornwall until the Crown Courts moved to Truro which
is also the administrative centre (before 1835 the county town was
Launceston). Bodmin was in the administrative North Cornwall
District until local government reorganisation in 2009 abolished the
Bodmin Town Council is made up of 16 councillors who are elected to
serve a term of four years. Each year, the Council elects one of
their number as Mayor to serve as the town's civic leader and to
chair council meetings.

century serving weary travellers using the ancient track known as
the Saint’s Way. Much of the present building still dates from the
12th century although the pub was extended to house the stonemasons
who built the charming church of St Brevita, which is located just
behind the pub.

historic country pub. Low beamed ceilings, open fireplaces, thick
stone walls and a great atmosphere. The restaurant is non-smoking
and a great place to enjoy some fine Cornish fayre. For the
historian amongst you, there is a rather unique bread oven beside
the old fireplace in the main bar, which is unusually large and
lined with granite.

dairy at the farm which is now their home and is open to you.
There are two ensuite rooms that are all situated on the ground
floor: Room One: Twin room - Room Two: Double Bedroom.
Byre is a delightful converted holiday property with a beautiful
outlook over quiet open countryside near the village of St Mabyn,
about five miles from Wadebridge and Bodmin. Set in six acres of
land, there is room to roam and find quiet sunny corners at your
leisure. The mature one acre garden lends itself well to outdoor
Byre along with our own home was a dairy farm in the distant past.
We have converted the buildings over a period of time since 2003 and
The Byre is our only self-catering accommodation for visitors. We
designed it carefully with guests in mind and it includes underfloor
heating for the cooler months to ensure a comfortable cosy stay.
Full use has been made of the original openings to bathe the
building in light; a rare quality in a barn.
The accommodation is now an ideal haven for relaxing, outdoor eating
or enjoying a drink looking across the garden towards stunning
sunsets. A barbecue is available.

Rivermead is a delightful country garden holiday park, at the bottom
of a private lane surrounded by fields, a stream and with ample
parking facilities. Small, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
Rivermead there are four 4 berth caravans, one caravan set in it's
own secluded walled garden, two 6 berth caravans and a chalet which
sleeps up to 4.
Each contain flat screen TV and DVD player, cooker, microwave,
fridge, shower and toilet, along with garden furniture.
Gas, electric and bedding are also included in the price. Laundry facilities
available on site. Free WiFi is also provided.

completely fenced and gated gardens making them child and dog

anything more we are normally on hand to help out. These Cornwall
holiday homes have either bath with shower, shower room or wet room.
Each cottage offers different accommodations The Lodge (two people)
is over 100 years old. Lakeside is a chalet style, built in the 90′s
and The Stables and Riverside holiday cottages offer up to date
luxury accommodation being built in 2011 and 2012 and have
wheelchair friendly access.
The Lodge and The Stables have a four poster bed in the double room,
the Stables and Riverside cottage have a super king size/ twin bed
option. All cottages have electric heating throughout and all have
woodburning stoves as well as flat screened TV/DVD players.

in their own wing of the farmhouse with dedicated stairs just for
our guests. Each has lovely views South across the Camel Valley and
a spacious modern en-suite with generous bath (room for 2 + a bottle
of fizz!) and separate large walk in shower with quality
complimentary toiletries. Suite 1 is very spacious and has a lovely
SuperKingsize (6') bed that can also be split if a twin room is
now offer 5 recently converted, detached Self-catering cottages at
Trenarlett, previously disused barns now very spacious, luxury 1 and
2 bedroom cottages and our luxury studio 'The Snug'. Barney's
Cottage and Dickins' Cottage are single storey and designed to be
disabled friendly*. You'll find a blend of character and modern
comforts, with vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework, woodburning
stoves and slate floors, complimentingquality modern fittings,
underfloor heating and solar power! They sleep 2 and 4 respectively
but are very generous in size throughout, plus Barney's has a
quality sofabed for a third person.
